The mission of the Laurens County Literacy Council is to serve adult students whose skills fall within the ranges of Levels 1 and 2 of the National Adult Literacy Survey. To accomplish this mission, the Literacy Council is committed to assisting students in personal growth and attainment of goals, using volunteers effectively in all areas of the program, improving the quality of life and assisting in the economic development of our county, and research and development of strategies to advocate for improved literacy throughout the Laurens County service area.
